Prelube 5000, 0.25 Ltr

Prelube 5000™ reduces friction when blowing microduct fiber optic cables (small diameter) into a microduct guide tube. It increases the installation distance of the cable. For blow-in of conventional fiber optic cables: see sidebar. Due to the improved composition, the product spreads further into the tube, leaves an extremely thin layer, and significantly reduces friction. Prelube 5000™ is already effective at amounts as low as 0.05 milligrams/cm². Insert the recommended amount of lubricant from the table below into the microduct guide tube. The amount can be measured with a syringe or estimated based on the length of the tube to be filled (see table below). Spread the lubricant into the tube by blowing a "foam pick" or sponge through the tube as often as necessary. This will prevent the lubricant from accumulating at the entrance to the tube.
