Corning
Inventor low-loss optical fiber
Since the invention of low-loss optical fiber in 1970, Corning has revolutionized telecommunications and continues to push boundaries with innovative solutions. Corning's technologies increase the speed and capacity of fiber-optic networks and make deployment easier and cheaper. They provide advanced solutions for growing markets such as 5G networks and hyperscale data centers.

BPEO closures
Corning offers several types of fiber optic closures in the BPEO series, including sizes 0, 1, 1.5 and 2. These closures are designed for various network configurations, such as connection of drop cables, branch cables and main network cables. Each format has specific capacities and applications depending on the number of cables, the capacity for splicing and the type of installation (e.g., airborne, in a pit, or on a pole).

Global manufacturing facilities
Corning has more than 75 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Two plants, located in North Carolina, are dedicated to the development of fiber optic connectivity solutions. Headquartered in Corning, New York, the company also has operations centers and sales offices in more than 30 countries.
