Product Description

Often HAS measurements are made with pre- and post-tension reels that are not calibrated. This can result in erroneous OTDR measurement values. These erroneous readings can occur because Mode Field Diameter (MFD) differences occur between two glass fibers being spliced together. On the OTDR, this often shows up as disproportionate Attenuation (high loss) or optical gain (gainer). When using a set of calibrated pre- and post-launch cable reels, the problem is no longer visible on the OTDR. This set consists of 2 calibrated reels that feature SC/PC-SC/APC connectors and SC/PC-SC/APC and SC/PC-LC/APC connectors.
