In particular, in an FTTH network, it can be used as distribution cable distribution to each home to be connected (from 96-fold cable to individual DAC cables). Or it can be deployed as a cascade model, where part of the distribution cable is opened up (by means of a window cut) and "passed through" to another distribution point in the network.
