The Fujikura FP-05 is a heat-shrink splice protector specifically designed for ribbon fiber-optic splices with up to 12 fibers. After splicing the ribbon cable, slide the sleeve over the splice, and the fusion splicer’s heater will shrink the sleeve tightly and securely around the splice. The result is durable, mechanical protection that shields the splice from moisture, dirt, and external stress. The FP-05 offers the same reliable protection as the well-known FP-03 for single-fiber splices, but is specifically designed for ribbon applications with up to 12 fibers. The sleeve is 40 mm long and shrinks to a diameter of 4.5 mm after heating. This product is supplied in a bag of 5 pieces.
