STL launches the Stellar Fiber at the IMC

At the IMC (India Mobile Congress) in India, STL launched Stellar Fiber. This in the presence of Ravi Shankar Prasad (Minister of IT and Communications). Stellar Fiber gives little to no attenuation, even on sharp bends. This unique fiber can be easily and flawlessly combined with all other older single-mode fiber types. This gives Stellar Fiber only all the advantages of a G.657.A2 fiber.

Stellar Fiber is unique. With the flexural insensitivity of G.657.A2, but with a Mode Field Diameter (MFD) of the older G.652 D fiber. This characteristic makes Stellar Fiber easy to splicing and measure in combination with other, older fiber types.

Ankit Agarwal, CEO Connective Solutions STL says, "We believe Stellar Fiber is an ideal product for network operators. When one connects and measures new and existing networks, there is no more technical limitation or complexity. So just all the benefits of a bend-insensitive fiber."

The unique features of Stellar Fiber allow for a smaller bending radius, minimal welding losses and easier measurement setup. Studies at the STL Center Of Excellence indicate that it extends the life of a fiber network by at least 10 years.
