STL acquires Optotec
STL (Sterlite) has acquired the Italian company Optotec. With this acquisition, they are creating a larger footprint in the European market. Thanks in part to Optotec's popular products and technical knowledge of Optotec, STL can now provide its customers with total solutions in the FTTH and telecom market.
Optotec, best known in the market for their splice sockets, was founded in 1992 and offers a wide range of (fiber optic) solutions for the telecom market. The acquisition of STL also creates new opportunities in the growing markets of 5G, FTTH and cloud networks. For these, the assortments of both companies offer various solutions.
